Computer Skills - Search Operators, Control Key, and F-Key Uses

This page is for computer skills of all kinds that you frequently need to use:

Search Operators: eg inurl, insite, etc: go to the Toshiba file folder on Computer Skills, and then within that, the FF "Search Operators";

Select All: If you computer does not have a "Select all" choice, or if it is not working, then "Control + A" will select all. To "Select All" on a Word document, web page, Exccel document, or any other document, just hold down the Control key and hit the A key. This will instantly select and highlight the entire document, no matter how large, and then you can copy it. This will save all the time it takes to hold down the left button on the mouse and drag it to the bottom of the document or page to highlight all the text you want to copy and paste somewhere. But always remember that you can save the entire page and create a PDF of it by using the "Print" button and selecting "Save to PDF."
