FMBR and the South Bay Area chapter of the International Association for Near-Death Studies (South Bay IANDS) have had a great relationship for a long time. We have mutually decided to invite our members to join each other's group. South Bay IANDS has been in operation since August, 2010.
Our organizations have different goals which are also very complimentary. Whereas FMBR likes to focus on the science-consciousness nexus, South Bay IANDS, as an affiliated chapter of IANDS, tends to adhere to the subject the Spiritually Transformative Experience (STE), the most common of which is the NDE. We have speakers that bring their knowledge of ADC, NDA, Kundalini, OOB, and other STEs to our membership. See our website, www.sbiands.org/past-meetings-2 to get an idea of our lineup of speakers. For FMBR members there will be no membership dues.
