Logbooks

Logbooks are the official records of activities and observations made by captains of ships, aircraft pilots, and others. They are a great source for first-hand accounts of unusual events or observations of any kind that have occurred at sea or in the air and elsewhere.

Sources od Logbooks:

1. Ship Logbooks: Made by captains or others on the ship; Each ship has its own logbook that stays with the ship, regardless of captain; Are there other logs kept by other officers of the ship, such as the "look out" ?

2. Pilot Logbook: Made by pilots of aircraft. I am not sure if there is a logbook that stays with the aircraft regardless of pilot, or if the pilots make their own personal logbooks that stays with them, or both;

3. Lighthousekeeper Logbook: This is the logbook that was kept at every lighthouse by the lighthouse keeper on duty. These logs may be preserved in the archives of the government agency responsible for maintaining the lighthouses;

4. Trucker Logbooks: ??

5. Train Logbooks:
